For ten years, Xaveer De Geyter (born 1957) was employed as Chief Architect in the architectural office of Rem Koolhaas, one of the best contemporary architects. In 1983 he was one of the team of architects who elaborated a revolutionary design for the Carrefour in Brussels, entering the post-war history books of Belgian and European architecture. In 1988 he founded his own studio dedicated to architecture and urbanism. He designs and implements his buildings and urban plans for cities in Belgium, France and the Netherlands. Xaveer De Geyter has also lectured at famous schools in Rotterdam and Lausanne and several books are devoted to his work, including the prestigious El Croquis. He has held numerous exhibitions and received many awards, including nominations in the international Mies van der Rohe Award.

 

The exhibition is held under the auspices of H. E. Francoise Gustin, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in the Czech Republic.
